Michael P. Colucci, President & CEO

Michael P. Colucci has more than 30 years of management and consulting experience in professional employer organization (PEO) ownership and management, healthcare administration, mergers and acquisitions, healthcare business development, and operations and revenue cycle management.

In 1999, Mr. Colucci founded Idilus LLC to provide better HR consulting and benefits solutions to organizations across the country. He is respected as a creative, intuitive problem solver, with strong people skills and the ability to motivate individuals and readily resolve conflicts.
Mr. Colucci maintains long-standing relationships with the largest Federally Qualified Health Plan in the United States, Access Community Health, which provides medical services in underserved areas in and around Chicago. He is a frequent speaker regarding the impact of PPACA (The Patient Protection and Accountable Care Act) on physicians, hospitals, and employers. He is actively involved and has a special concern for the problems of rural health care and has been a recent speaker for ICAHN (The Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network) on the effects of healthcare reform on small, rural and Critical Access Hospitals. Mr. Colucci received his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Detroit and his Master of Social Work at Wayne State University. He then went on to receive his Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctorate from Concord University.

Kirk Edwards, Vice President of Finance & Chief Financial Officer

Kirk Edwards has been working in the employee benefits field for more than 25 years. Prior to joining Idilus HR, he worked for a variety of pension and welfare funds overseeing financial management and administration. As a senior executive at Zenith Administrators, a third party administrator, he oversaw all aspects of claims processing, premium applications, customer service, and client management. Mr. Edwards attended DePauw University and received his Master of Business Administration from Indiana University.

Karin Colucci, Vice President of Human Resources & Benefits

Ms. Colucci has extensive experience in human resources and benefits administration, focusing on benefits planning, conflict resolution, and organizational development. As Director of the Employer Services Division of Idilus HR, she is responsible for the largest division of the company, developing and maintaining all of the systems and processes that support the unique human resources demands of Idilus HR and its healthcare-centric clients. Ms. Colucci received her bachelor’s and Master of Business Administration from Loyola University.

Matt Peterson, Vice President of Sales & Operations

Matt Peterson comes to Idilus HR with more than 22 years of experience in the insurance and healthcare fields. His resume includes companies such as McDonalds, Liberty Mutual, Sedgwick CMS, and LabCorp. The main focus of Mr. Peterson’s experience is in insurance operations and business development.

Mr. Peterson spent 13 years in progressively more responsible roles with large self-insureds, insurance carriers, and third party administrators. His strong background in operations made him an excellent fit as the Chief Operating Officer of an Occupational Medicine Corporation in the western suburbs of Chicago. He spent five years handling all operational, financial, and business development activities for the corporation.

Mr. Peterson joined Idilus HR in 2012. His knowledge of insurance, medical operations, and business development has proved an excellent addition to the organization. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His hobbies include tennis, golf, and fishing.

Jorge Solis, Director of Operations

Jorge Solis has more than 8 years of experience in the professional employer organization (PEO) industry. As Director of Operations at Idilus HR, he is responsible for Lean Six Sigma process improvement and operations coordination. In addition, Jorge maintains both internal and client insurance policies, oversees HR software implementation, and conducts workers’ compensation underwriting.

Jorge has more than 15 years of military experience and has served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He is currently earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Amly Mathew, Director of Payroll Management

Amly Mathew joined the Idilus HR team as a Payroll Accountant, and her primary areas of focus in her career have been payroll and accounting. She graduated from Chicago State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She has worked as a payroll tax specialist and worked for 12 years at Wirtz Beverage where she gained experience in payroll, accounting, and replenishment buying. Ms. Mathew has more than 18 years of experience in accounting.

Steve Dawson, Director of Technology

Steve Dawson has more than 33 years of experience in the telecommunications and IT fields, primarily with Bell Labs. His experience with Bell Labs began with software design and development, and then moved on to system testing. He then managed a system integration lab dealing with the combining of multiple software modules into a cohesive software release. From there, Mr. Dawson transitioned to project implementation management where he would take software releases into the field. Part of this implementation involved the configuration, installation, and hands-on testing of the features of the software release.

Customers increasingly sought his expertise for support, including design and delivery of a training course that walked the technicians through call processing. At the end of the life cycle of the product, Mr. Dawson took on international project management, moving support for multiple products from the USA to various foreign countries. As an ongoing training process, he consults for a medical billing business managing their IT infrastructure.

Mr. Dawson joined Idilus HR in 2013, and has a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Business from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois, with additional graduate coursework at Northwestern University in the field of large scale software testing and implementation.

Barbara Harling, Director of Human Resources

Barbara Harling brings more than 2 decades of experience in HR services to her role as Director of Human Resources at Idilus HR. She has worked for both small organizations and large Fortune 100 companies, specializing in project management, benefits administration, financial budgeting and reporting, acquisition and divestiture, and employee recruitment, retention and relations. Prior to joining the Idilus HR team, Ms. Harling served as Manager of Human Resources at Cummins, Inc. and Director of Human Resources at IntegraMed/Fertility Centers of Illinois and Adecco, among other organizations.

Ms. Harling received her bachelor’s degree in Administration/HR from Roosevelt University in Chicago, and is a Senior Certified Professional of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP).
